Christ. This is the fourth draft of this entry I have started, and who knows how many great fucking pieces of writing have crossed my head. Yet I have to produce something, not only to knock my felony bragging off the front but also to convince myself that I am not as creativly impotent as my break so far suggests.

3rd draft:

Karaoke night at the memories lounge. Turns out it's the place to go on Wednesday of break week.

2nd draft:

A new stereo, or rather, a newly-functional stereo enjoins me to enjoy some of the electronic music I have not as of late. A new dictionary, or rather, a newly-accessible Webster’s New Universal Unabridged Dictionary encourages me to think big words as attempt to codify my world.

The phone is curiously unanswered.

Nevermind. Everyone probably knows the feeling of thoughts so captivating that they preoccupy you to the expense of all other mundane thoughts and action items that call for your attention.

1st draft:

somewhere in the bowels of my old PC I have diary entries, from before the era of the online diary, that were written when I was drunk and fabliously depressed. These entries are from my drunk and fabliously depressed period, a time in fall 2000 when I was as lost as I ever have been in the universe. Several of them are password protected, only I came up with the password when I was drunk, and don’t remember (ro managed to insert identical typos in the confirm password line) so I can’t access them. It’s for the best.

Tonight, Wednesday, I stumbled out of my room at 10:30 and interacted with my movie-shooting housemates before leaving fro campus to track down the Urban sociology mid-term. In my sleep-deprived state I managed to miss class last Thursdayand when I finally worked up the nerve to e-mail Brain about it, on Monday, he sent the following response: "I wish you had contacted me sooner. Unfortunately, I am out of town and don't have the ability to send you the midterm questions. All I can suggest is that you might contact one of the other students in the class. "

It wasn't until Wednesday I worked up the nerve to do what I should have done anyway, which is wander around campus looking for someone in the class. I found someone almost immeditally, who took me back to her room, which turned out to be my room, last year. Not everything was changed; her papers were a mess and she couldn't find this rather important document. Wandering some more, I went through the mail room on my way to bdorm, where I encountered JJ playing pool. He invited me to go to Memories, and also told me that he lives with someone in the class, who not only is there and has the exam question but alsohas a personal copy machine that he uses to copy it for me. Promptly, I make my way to Memories where aproximitly 20 New College students are, and I get drunk on so much vodka that I still shake my head violently when thinking about it..
